LINGUISTIC LANDSCAPE RESEARCH GROUP

The field of Linguistic Landscape Studies spans across various fields such as Anthropology, Sociology, Linguistics, Education, Global Studies, Language Policy and Planning, Geography, Culture Studies, Urban Planning, and Translation Studies. The Linguistic Landscape Research Group began as a multidisciplinary organization at UCLA, but is now predominantly an online group dedicated to the research of language on signs in the public space. In this digital space we discuss projects, get feedback on theories and methodologies, and share about upcoming presentations, in addition to resources/references.
